About Jonathan

Jonathan Chisolm is an actor / singer / mover from Rome, GA. They hold a BFA in Musical Theatre from Shorter University.

Born in Honolulu, HI to an Army dad and a stay at home mom, Jonathan lived all over the country until their father retired from the Army. They then settled for the rest of their youth in Rome, GA, where their family still resides today. 

In Rome is where Jonathan found their love for Musical Theatre at the age of ten. They performed in over 30 shows at Rome Little Theatre, the local community theatre. They did everything from musicals to straight plays, playing all kinds of roles from leading to supporting to ensemble roles. They also participated in offstage roles as an assistant director, assistant producer, stage hand, and front of house staff. Anything they could do to be involved Jonathan was always there to be a part!

From 2011 to 2015, Jonathan attended Shorter University earning their BFA in Musical Theatre. Some of their favorite college credits include Professor Bhaer in Little Women the Musical, Shylock in The Merchant of Venice, and Tommy Albright in Brigadoon.

Jonathan has worked at several regional theatres including Area Stage Company, Bigfork Summer Playhouse, Seacoast Repertory Theatre, Priscilla Beach Theatre, Highlands Playhouse, Circa' 21 Dinner Playhouse, Wagon Wheel Theatre, Jean's Playhouse, Sierra Repertory Theatre, Atlanta Lyric Theatre, and City Springs Theatre. Some of their favorite professional credits include Ursula in Disney's The Little Mermaid, Albin/Zaza in La Cage Aux Folles, Sancho Panza in Man Of La Mancha, Roger in Grease, Gideon Pontipee in 7 Brides For 7 Brothers, Uncle Fester in Addams Family, and Henry Etches in Titanic the Musical.

In 2023 Jonathan made their Off-Broadway Debut in the Original Off-Broadway Cast of Waiting In The Wings as Kelsey!

Outside of performing, Jonathan loves hiking, video games (especially of the role playing genre), books and comic books (especially of the fantasy genre), anime, Disney (especially Disney Villains), coaching other performers, studying the history and growth of Musical Theatre, practicing their impressions of  famous Broadway divas, and hanging out with their friends and family.
